KALB
Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which is governed by the KALB Commission. KALB was established as a certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc. in 1977 with a mission to educate and empower the citizens of Athens and Limestone County to help reduce the amount of litter on our roadsides and in our waterways.
Recycling and beautification efforts were added to KALB’s programs soon after. The KALB Commission established and governs the Athens-Limestone Recycling Board and the Athens-Limestone Beautification boards, which were each established to handle specific projects and programs of the organization.
