Free Dump Day for Limestone County Residents - March 31st
On March 31st, Limestone County residents can take up to a truckload of
debris to the Transfer Station on Hwy 72 West FREE OF CHARGE!
Remember: Recycle FIRST! Please make sure you have recycled and given away all that you can before taking items to the transfer station. Click HERE for a list of items accepted by our recycling center. Usable items can be donated to a local thrift store.
The Transfer Station will be open from 7 a.m. until noon on March 31st. Be sure to get there early so you won't be turned away.
The transfer station is located on Hwy. 72 West, just before reaching 7-Mile Post Road on the north side of the road. The Transfer Station is a tan metal building set back from Hwy. 72.
It is suggested that residents bring along a picture ID and a utility bill in case proof of residency is required.
RESTRICTIONS: Only four (4) automobile tires will be accepted per load. No appliances with compressors (air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators) unless the compressor has been removed from the appliance or is accompanied by a certificate indicating that the freon has been professionally removed. No medical or hazardous waste will be accepted. CONTRACTORS MAY NOT DUMP FREE.
